Another popular Trench Shotgun, The Winchester M1912 was popular among The US Marine Corps and US Navy. Designed for Boarding actions, The Winchester was just as effective in Trench Warfare. Initially only available in a 20-Gauge version, the weapons held 6 shells and was “pump action”. Averaging 40 inches in length, The Winchester (although modified throughout it's service life), would continue to serve The US Military from 1912 until 1964 (officially) – with total phase out (in some cases), by 2001.
