Developed just before the end of World War II (1945), The US T-32 was envisioned as America's first ''Heavy Tank'. US Armor had learned many valuable lessons fighting the superior German Tiger II. It;s lighter M26 Pershing, while a good battle tank – was far too lightly armored. The T-32 was designed to fill this gap for ''future'' Wars. 120,000-lbs. In weight, The T-32 was 40-feet long with a 13-foot width. They were 11-feet in height and supported a Crew of 5. Dual tracked, power was provided by a Ford V-12 Diesel, capable of producing 770-HP. Land speed was rated at 22-mph with an operational range of 100-miles. The T-32 supported (2) 7.62mm Machine Guns and (1) Browning .50 Caliber Heavy Machine Gun. The Primary weapon was it;s 90mm Main Gun (Turret Mounted). Five Models were produced, but with the War in Europe winding down – The T-32 Project was abruptly canceled. All were scrapped with no survivors in Museums.
