Although enthroned in 1660 for The English Restoration of The Crown, this sword was made in 1669. The "official" Dress Sword for Charles, it was a typical Longsword class of blade. Double-edged, it weighs 3 pounds and is 4 feet long. It has silver inlays throughout (even the handle). The Royal Crest of Charles is fitted onto the pommel. This would be the first Royal sword made since The Civil War in England (1642). Currently, it resides at The Shrewsbury Museum, Shropshire, England.
