With nearly 7,000 Production Models, The Soviet Lavochkin-Gorbunov-Gudkov LaGG-3 was a somewhat short lived, but effective – Fighter Plane during World War II. It was among the first soely Soviet produced Fighter Interceptors early in The War. It would be retired to to the far more superior German Mescherschmitt Fighter, which dominated the skies over Russian in the early phases of Hitler's plan of invasion of that Country. Crewed by (1), The LaGG-3 was 29-feet long with a wingspan of 32-feet. Power was provided by a single Klimov V-12 Engine which produced 1,210-HP. Rated Airspeed was up to 360-mph. The LaGG-3 had and operation ceiling of 32,000-feet. Various configurations included a single 12.7mm machine Gun or 20mm Cannon. Ordnance varied too, with 110-lbs.
