A weapon that saw limited use in The Korean military, The Ssangsudo Sword was a single-edged, double-handed weapon. The blade measured some 6 feet in length and required two hands to use. Often compared to the European Great Swords, they saw used along the Northern Korean and Southern China Borders (possibly as a Border Defense Unit weapon). Predominate in the 16th and 17th Centuries, the blade design was also adopted by captured models among the Chinese Manchu invaders. The overall weight of the weapon was around 6-pounds.
