Seen around the 3rd Century, Konos Helmets were bronze conical shaped head protective gear. They were popularized by The Macedonian Armies. They featured a small visor and a extended brim which ran the perimeter of the helmet. A leather liner was attached for comfort and stability during wear. Often, Kono Helmets had engraved “Tribal Crests” on them to denote affiliation. Some featured simple linear decorations (engraved or raised).
