The Jacobites were a political faction of Scotland which contested The English Line of Succession in relation to King and Queen William and Mary. The Jacobites “favored” their “Candidate” - James Stuart (“The Old Pretender”). The Wars that followed ran from 1688 until 1745 (with a final disaster at The Battle of Culloden). Jacobites were comprised of both Highland and Lowland Scottish Clans. Their Flags varied in overall color. All featured the Scottish Saltire or Cross of St. Andrew. Traditionally White, other colors were used. Jacobite Flags (as were most of The Era), more Square-shaped and measured 8 feet by 8 feet.
