Flag of The 1st Pennsylvania Rifles

A “hard fighting” Unit of American Militia, The 1st Pennsylvania Rifles fought in many of the more “famous” Northern Colony battles of The American Revolution (1777-1779. Their Motto of “We Will Not Be Dominated” was well earned. Their Colors consisted of a Green Field in entirety with a “Patriot” attacking a “snared Lion” (to represent England). The White “PM” on the Colors were for “Pennsylvania Militia” with “1 R” representing “1st Rifles”.
