Dimachaerus Gladiator

Meaning “”to bear 2 knives”, these specially trained Gladiators specialized in the use of multiple Swords or related bladed weapons. These could be Gladius or Spathas. They were allowed double Manica's for wear (thus increasing their protection). Most Gladiators were thought to prefer the use of leather for better mobility. They also wore no chest protection, but favored full leg Greaves and sometimes the padded Bracae Trousers. The Dimachaerus was another elite Gladiator due to his specialty. It was popular to pair (or fight) multiple Dimachaerus.
