Deriving from Nubia, Africa – Dedun was a Tribal Deity (2,400 BC) that would be adopted by The Ancient Egyptians into their Pantheon of Gods (Middle Kingdom). Little is known of His origins and original worship among The Nubians, but in Egypt – Dedun was related to ''Prosperity and Wealth''. Depicted as both a Lion and ''human-lion'' hybrid, by 1,425 BC – His Cult would greatly diminish among Northern Egyptians.
