This weapon was seen in limited use around the 2nd and 3rd Century B.C. Made of bronze, this was a precursor to The Trident (and later Military Pitchfork). Constructed of two prongs, both of which where blade shaped (flattened) and wavered in design. Mounted on possibly a 6 to 8 foot wooden (or bronze pole), the weapon was one of the earliest forms of Pole Arms. The Bident was a thrusting and stabbing weapon.
