Apep (Deity)

From the Legends and Myths of Ancient Egypt, comes the story of Deity called Apep. In Ancient Egypt, Apep was depicted as a large celestial Serpent. He was the incarnation of Chaos. Apep is seen often in Darkness (and is thus considered the enemy of Light). First written of in The 8th Dynasty (2,181 B.C.) Although not the Ruler of The Underworld, Apep is often seen as an Emissary of that Region.
