Anput was an ''Old Kingdom'' Goddess (2,600 BC) which is most probably the feminine form of Anubis (A Guardian and Judge of The Dead in Egyptian Religion). Some Historians put form the claim that She was actually the wife of Anubis. Mostly a Lower Egypt Deity, She is shown in both a Human Female form and that of Her Husband Anubis the head of a Jackal and the body of a Human. Also a Funerary Deity, Anput was another of The Protectors of a Pharaohs body in The Tomb. With the unification of The Upper and Lower Kingdoms of Egypt, Anput became somewhat of a minor Deity.
