Another Welsh Legend, The Y Cyhyraeth were female spirits similar to The Banshee. Their groans and screams heralded an impending plague. Described as ghostly white , they had no eyes and live (or haunt) marshes. The Y Cyhyraeth was also said to mourn (and moan) for fallen foreign soldier on Welsh land.
