In Ancient Mesoamerican Aztec Mythology, The Xelhua were similar to both Judaism's ''Nephilim'' and later Greece's ''Titans''. These were a race of ''great giants'', seen as malevolent. When The Aztec spoke of ''Great Flood'' which devoured The World, only 7 of The Xelhua survived. So large in fact, that they used the pyramid-like Temples (some of which survive today), as massive Thrones. They tried to take over The World from the ''Creator Gods'', by using fire to control Man (and thus stop their worship of The Gods. The God Quetzalcoatl came and eventually destroyed all The Xelhua.
