In Ancient China, The ‘’Wutong Shen’’ were a classification of Demons, that preyed on ‘’beautiful and young Human Females’’. Their ‘’true form’’ was as a ‘’one-legged, small and hideous lump of flesh’’. However, when They ''appeared to their Victims’’, they were ‘’handsome and strong Men’’. The Shen would seduce their female victims, which would cause them to fall into a deep sleep (coma). They would remain as such, often in great pain for several weeks – before they died. It was though that The Wutong Shen were a form of cautionary tale, for women to be faithful before and during marriage.
