From Scottish Lore, The Wirry Cow is said to be a Beast related to the previously discussed Bugbear. They are long necked creatures with squat bodies (often described with brown fur). The Wirry Cow is also associated with Goblin Spirits, who take on the strange animal form. Wirry Cows were used to scare young children into behaving, when bad. Often, The Wiiry Cow was said to come in the night to ''take them away''.
