''Whitey'', The White River Monster

Affectionately known as ‘’Whitey’’, - The ‘’White River Monster’’ is a supposed Cryptid said to inhabit The White River, near Newport, Arkansas (US). Reported in 1915, The Creature is said to be akin to Scotland’s ‘’Loch Ness Monster’’ of the same vein. The Creature is said to have ‘’smooth, gray skin’’ with differing reports regarding it’s neck (some say short, others long). It’s ‘’length’’ varies as well, from 10-feet long to 25-feet for some. A rash of reports in the late 1930s, caused ‘’Whitey’’ to become a sort of Tourist Attraction for Visitors hoping to see it. Some skeptics cite that ‘’Whitey’’ also corresponds with the original Scotland Monster fervor of 1937. But all things being equal, The White River Monster was ‘’protected’’  by State Government in 1971. The signed a Law into effect making it illegal to harm or hunt ‘’Whitey’’. The more logical among us however, cite ‘’Whitey’’ may be a form of ‘’Sea Cow’’ or Manatee, commonly found in Central Florida waterways.
