Common in Scandinavian mythology, in particular to Sweden The Vittra were a form of Elve, that inhabited many forests and woods. Their primary goal was to protect Nature from human encroachment and harm. As long as humans, in particular Lumbermen did not fell too many trees, most had no fear of The Vittra. Small, The Vittra was humanoid with (6) arms. In this they resembled a Spider. They were known to inhabit the top most portion of trees. However, waste or overhunting often led to the disappearance of Lumbermen and Hunters when they trekked into the forest. No bodies were ever found, so just how the Vittra killed is unknown.
