''Two Toed Tom''

Perhaps just as much ‘’Country Urban Legend’’ as probable fact – ‘’Two Toed’’ Tom is still a fixture in some parts of Northern Florida and Southern Alabama (US). Since the 1920s, an extremely large Alligator has been said to exist. Reports of 15 to ad much as 18-feet long and 300-lbs. in weight. The scaly Behemoth is identified by the fact that it only has 2 toes on each appendage. Some speculate that ‘’Tom’’ is possible a mutation (so made by years of pollution). And while Alligator’s can live as long as 20 years (one such in captivity), the overly massive size is bizarre. ‘’Tom’’ is known to attack livestock and He is attributed with (4) Human deaths over the years. Those Native American Tribes which ‘’know’’ of Him – refer to ‘’Tom’’ as a ‘’Demon of The Swamp’’. Never photographed (conclusively), ‘’Tome’’ was last ‘’seen’’ in 1984 (and not since). It is thought that He has either finally died or simply gone deeper into the Swamps.
