More appropriately, General Tran Hung Dao was a 12th Century AD Vietnamese General (Warlord), who turned several Mongol Incursions into Ancient Vietnam. With far less Troops and weapons, The General was able to repulse The Invaders with an almost ''preternatural'' ability. As such, after the death of the famous Military Leader, He was deified. Many Shrines and Temples can be found in both The North ans Southern portions of The Country. Often, His ''Spirit'' is invoked for Military ''Protection and Victory''. Conversely, The General is usually ''summoned'' (His Spirit), ONLY by Female Mediums (for some reason).
