The titular character of 1941s Universal Studios ''Classic Monster Brand'' – known as The Wolfman, Talbot was an American, with an often ''mysterious'' background. Originally described as the ''Son of and English Aristocrat'' (who married an American Woman), Talbot had funds and was often in Europe as a businessman. Noted for His walking cane (what Gentleman didn't have one), with a silver Wolf's Head Handle (a precursor perhaps) – He was walking at night when He was attacked by a Wolf. The resulting bite was not life threatening, but Talbot would soon learn it's awful consequence. The Wolf was in reality, the Son of a Romani (Gypsy) Woman, cursed with turning into the animal whenever The Moon was full. In Talbot's case, He transformed into a ''half Man, half Wolf'' Monster. (4) Film sequels developed The Beast to some point, although the late – 1948s ''Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein'' (a Comedy Team from the 1940s and 50s), was more goofy camp than Horror. It seemed everytime Talbot was ''killed'' (incorrectly), He would be resurrected as ''The Wolfman''. Portrayed by Lon Chaney Jr. in all accounts, the role would unfortunately stereotype Him into that role – finding it hard to find ''serious'' film work. The role would be rebooted in 2010 with Benicio del Torro portraying the character.
