In many Pagan and Neo-Pagan Belief Systems, the ideology of ''The Triple Goddess'' related to the belief that there are three Female Deities responsible for Power in various Folk Magic invocations. The Deities (unnamed) are The Maiden, The Mother and The Crone. In several Beliefs, The Triple Goddess was married to The ''Horned God'' (although this Pagan Deity is not the same as Lucifer). One of the oldest representations known of The Three Goddess ideology was of Hekataion. The Icon is in reality three images (back to back in a triangular stance), with each Goddess facing a particular direction of The Earth. In Paganism, The Three Goddess is symbolized by a Crescent Moon, connected to a Full Moon and finally another Crescent Moon. The Triple Goddess is also invoked in Wiccan Beliefs for protection in Childbirth.
