''The Thames Torso Murders''

While the infamous ‘’Jack The Ripper’’ garnered His gruesome place in History – almost around the same time, another Serial Killer was making a name for ‘’Himself’’. Nicknamed The ‘’Thames Torso Murderer’’, this Killer was noted for (4) Canonical Victims. Female (but not probable Prostitutes as were ‘’Jack’s’’ Victims’’), The Torso Murderer hacked off the arms, legs and heads of His Victims – dumping them either in or near The Thames River (which cuts thru portions of The City of London). From 1887 to 1889 – The Killer struck, leaving no evidence as to just ‘’where’’ he may have committed His atrocities or ‘’why’’. It should be noted that a similar rash of crimes were investigated by Metropolitan (London) Police in 1873 (years before) and yet again in 1902. Many ‘’Ripper’’ Students claim that these horrible crimes were the work of Jack. But Police noted that the crimes, while similar were much different. Like Jack, it was thought that due to the precision of cuts to the bodies, only someone with a knowledge of Medical Arts, could have performed them (much like Jack). Of the bodies recovered, only (1) was positively identified. (7) are conclusively linked to The Thames Torso Murderer. It was noted that die to the Thames River having an incredible amount of river traffic (domestic and international), some of the bodies (and portions), could have even been dumped from a Ship. To date, no Suspects were ever named.
