Most associated with Satanic Practice (thanks to Film and Books), The ''Sign of The Horns'' is actually thousands of years old, and has many different meanings (depending of The Cultural usage of such). Using One's hand, the 2nd and 3rd Digit (fingers), are bent inwards towards the palm. So to is the thumb (covering the two bent Digits). The 1st and 4th Digit remain upright. As such, the symbolism of twin ''horns'' are thus made. Early Pagans used the sign as both a form of ''recognition'' with other ''members'' and in certain Magic Rituals (relating to a variety of Gods and Goddess, traditional Lunar in nature). In Ancient Rome, The ''Horns'' was associated with both ''Good and Bad Luck'' – again depending on ''which'' God or Goddess One was invoking for protection. In the late 19th Century and early 20th, The ''Horns'' was adopted by Writers of Gothic Horror as being Satanic (for the Horns representing those found on the head of Lucifer). And while some Adherents to this Belief System do so invoke the Sign, some ''Covens'' do not. Hollywood Film perpetuated much of the myth of The Horns into Social Culture as ''Evil''. So to, has The Horns been adopted by several musical genres as a ''Dark Symbol'', both Satanic and Pagan in view.
