The Sea Monster of Ayia Napa

 Reported to live of The Island of Cyprus, Ayia Napa (Coastal Town), lent it's name to this reputed Sea Serpent . Reports of the creature go back as far the 2nd Century A,D,. Said to be a huge bodied beast (circular shaped), it has up to 13 long necks, topped with Dragon-like head (similar to a Hydra). In 1889, several ships were reported destroyed when Ayia Napa attacked them. Normally, the beast is tame (as per locals) put when they are spawning (and if a ship approaches their Nesting Grounds) they will attack. No current sightings have yet been reported.
