The Roswell Stone

Much has been written about The Crash of a purported Alien Spacecraft, which was said to have happened in Roswell, New Mexico in July of 1947. From supposed debris, to the actual recovery of Alien Bodies to the massive Government cover up it seems new pieces to this puzzle come to light every now and then. The latest is the story of The Roswell Stone. In 2004, Hunter Robert Ridge was tracking and animal in the deserts around Roswell, when he noted a strange rock partially exposed in the dirt. Picking it up, he noted it's overly smooth surface and strand raised etchings. Think nothing more (than perhaps some Ancient Native American artifact, he popped it in his pocket. Cleaning the rock later, Ridge note the great detail put into the rocks carving, which was a series of almost perfect geometric shapes. Having a friend from a local Museum look at it, the determination was that it was not Indian. Further. The rock appears to be a Basalt type. And generates a magnetic field. Further, the figures on the rock also perfectly match a Crop Circle found in 1996 in Chiselton, England. Research on the rock shows an almost laser-like precision. Approximate age is listed at several thousand years old. Also. Some familiar with the claimed images seen on Crash debris (Alien Hieroglyphics), state the carving in Ridges rock is VERY similar. Ridge was approached by a well known American Cable Television Show, to be interviewed for a segment about his rock. Limited tests on The Show partially confirmed some of his tale. However, Ridge also claims Government harassment because he will not surrender the rock to them. They have even cited Native American Artifact Protection Laws as a threat. What could the rock be A clever hoax by Ridge or a link to something else?
