While considered a Medieval forgery, The so call ''Letter of Lentulus'' was ''discovered in 15th Century AD Florence, Italy. The document, written by an unknown Roman Administrator named Lentulus, outlined in great detail the overall physical characteristics and appearance of One Jesus Christ. So detailed in fact, that the description was seized upon by The Catholic Church and used as the template for Artists to paint or carve all future images of Christ. Centuries later, The Letter of Lentulus was resolved to be a forgery, made during the Late Middle Ages. However, it was such a forgery that would shape popular belief in ''how'' Christ looked (and is still accepted as such). Anthropologically, it is well known that Christ was not a Caucasian nor had standard ''Western features''. Despite this, His appearance is still seen in this manner.
