The Lantern Man

East England is noted for it's ''Fens'' (a type of Marsh Land). It is also the location for the Legend of The Lantern Man. Just exactly how old this Legend is depends on who is telling the tale. Some say hundreds of years, others ''longer''. According to locals of many Villages in the Region, ''Lantern Man'' is a cursed Spirit who wanders The Fens at late light carrying a Lantern. He ''calls for Help'' however this is His snare. Those foolish enough to go and help Him often drown in the Reeds and mud. It is best to ignore His ''cries'' and of course - His Lantern!  Some cite Lantern Man is akin to The Boogeyman.
