This strange story of an "Out of Place" Artifact, comes from Kingoodie, Scotland. During the quarrying of Sandstone from Kingoodie Quarry in 1844, Workers (cutting rocks - known as "Dressing"), found a "Modern" Shoeing Nail encased inside one of the rocks. Shoeing Nails are used to affix horseshoes to a horses hooves. The age of the Sandstone rock was between 200 and 300 Million years old! Such "Human Technology" obviously didn't notice exist. Where did the Nail come from Widely debated in the early 20th Century, many Skeptics state that The Kingoodie Nail was an obvious "fake". Unfortunately, the Nail was taken to England in the late 18th Century and has vanished. Perhaps, we will never know.
