This is classic 1950s Horror-Sci-Fi. 1958s ''The Hideous Sun Demon'' while roasted by Critics, became a Cult Classic still watched today. While the acting is ''B''-Movie silly, the make-up effects are very good. To bad they didn't raise enough money to make it in color. The Plot is simple. Young Scientist experimenting with radioactive isotopes is exposed to what should have been a fatal dose. The exposure horribly mutates The Scientist in an unusual way. IF He is exposed to direct sunlight, He mutates immediately into a horrible, lizard skinned creature. IF He remains in darkness He will revert to His former Human appearance (simple enough). However, when transformed, The Scientist cannot control the urge to kill. Accidentally exposed to The Sun, He turns into Sun Demon and goes on a rampage through Town. Climbing onto a Water Tower, The Demon is shot and topples to His (or It's) death. Kinda straightforward for THIS type of Horror film.
