A ''common'' phenomenon located in Gurdon, Arkansas (US), The ''Gurdon Light'' is one of the many ''Mystery Light'' stories quite common throughout The American Midwest and South. The tale goes back to 1931 and involves a Railroad Worker who was killed during his duties. Working on the rail late at night, he lost his Safety Lantern. While searching for it, it failed to notice a loose Engine Car, which hit and killed him. Since that time, a ghostly ''Light'' can be seen at times floating over the section of track where the Worker lost his life. The ''Light'' is seen by both day and night, and HAS been photographed over the years. The ''Light'' is said to actually be Quartz Crystals which conduct random ground electrical impulses or a condition known as piezoelectricity. The ''static discharge'' is what people are seeing........Or Are They?
