The Green Clawed Beast of Evansville

A ''quaint'' Urban Legend which began around 1955 – The ''Green Clawed Beast'' of the aforementioned Town of Evansville, Indiana (US), has (of yet, NEVER been seen since that hot summer of '55). Many think that the release of the then popular ''Creature of The Black Lagoon'' was the cause of the ''sightings''. But according to a family sunbathing next to the Ohio River (which cuts thru a portion of that State), a ''strange, Human-like Creature'', not only arose fro the water – but tried to snatch Children. Said to be ''6-foot and having scales'', The Creature was noted for it's long green claws. The reporting family ''escaped to their car'' and quickly reported to local Police. After some ''laughing'' (no doubt'', they did investigated. It is said that they stopped their giggling when then found what appeared to be ''large webbed footprints'' in the mud on the Banks of The Ohio. Still thinking it a prank, they monitored the area for several weeks. No further reports were made. Must be a Hoax – or The Creature simply moved down The River to ''other Hunting Grounds''............
