We have visited several ''Goatmen'' Urban Legends in the past...So why not another? This Legend stems from Northeast Texas (US) and tells of a grisly tale of Alton Bridge. Located between The Cities of Denton and Copper Canyon, the steel and wood cross structure holds an evil and haunted background. In 1938, one Oscar Washburn was a Black Goat Farmer. He did fairly well in His Vocation. Perhaps, too good. Local ''Caucasian'' Residents began to take notice and soon the infamous Klu Klux Klan decided to seek it's typical insane ''vengeance''. The Klan snatched Washburn from His home and took Him to Alton Bridge. There He was lynched (hung). To add further ''insult'', They killed His Family as well as His Goat Herd. Naturally, no one questioned the heinous crime. But in this began The Legend.

From 1938 until (at least the mid-1960s) stories involving ''something odd'' happening at Alton Bridge became commonplace. At least five people have mysteriously died at the Bridge. It is said, that should One drive over Alton Bridge with their automobile light ''off'' (just as The Klan did) - a ''horrible and quite large, half-human and half-goat Creature'' will appear. This ''Monster'' will tear open your car, dragging out all inside. ''It'' then proceeds to ''carve you up'', leaving a rather unpleasant ''mess''. Some over the years claim to have ''photos'' of a ''Large Black figure'' which resembles the above description (but most dismiss these as fakes)...........Or So It Is Assumed?
