February 14th, 1929. In The City of Chicago, Illinois (Lincoln Park Suburb). Alphonse Capone (''Al'') had decided to consolidate His ''hold'' on The City's organized crime scene. The only thing in His way..The North Side Gang of ''Bugs'' Moran. In a local Auto Garage at 1030am on none other than St. Valentine's Day, (7) Members of The North Siders were playing cards and awaiting their next ''job''. Five of the soon to be victims were high-placed Members of The Moran Gang. Capone decided to strike, and sent at least four of His own ''Soldiers'' – dressed as Police Officers. Busting in, the ''Cops'', lined up the 7 Men against a brick wall and fired at least 150 rounds of .45 Caliber Machine Gun Rounds into them. Hence, the creation of one of American Crime History's most infamous Events – ''The St. Valentine's Day Massacre''. Although ''everyone'' knew who did the crime – no one was prosecuted. Capone got His wish, after Moran's later ''death'' soon after – He assumed almost complete control of The City of Chicago.
The exact location of the murders was at the cross of 2 streets. The Garage was never used as a business again, but would become a ''Mecca'' of sorts for the morbid curious. In 1967, The Lot was purchased and torn down. But prior, a Businessman ''purchased'' many of the demolished bricks from the very wall ''the deed'' happened against. Some of these were sold for as high as $500.00 (USD) to Buyers all over The World. A few were given to various Crime Museums to display. Of those that were kept, at least (2) reproduced ''Walls'' were built (with the few original components) – for two larger Museums on Crime, in both Las Vegas and Los Angeles (US).
Which brings us to the obvious ''haunting''. The Lot where The Garage stood has long since been used as a Parking Lot for a nearby Retirement Facility and Hospital. But for the last 25 years, most Employee's and Visitors do not like to park there. Quite often, when a Car ''parks there'', it will not start again or suffer from some other related malfunction. As soon as One ''moves'' their Auto away from the ''Lot'' – there is no further problems. On more than one occasion, Paranormal Investigators have (using specialized camera equipment), ''captured'' what is known as ''Ghost Orbs'' – floating thru and above The Parking Lot. Some have even claimed to ''see shadowy figures'' walking thru The Lot. Perhaps much of this is related to Urban Legend......or on the ''other hand......
