Coming from Ancient Chinese Mythology – The ''Four Perils'' were defined as ''Dragon-Like'' Deities often used to illustrate various Natural Events (Earthquake, Flood etc), that befell Humankind. They were the aforementioned ''Gonggong'', Huandou, Gun and Sanmiao. In other Far Eastern Mythos, The Four Perils were given different names, but all had the same attributes. Each could ''create'' a multitude of calamity. Failure to Honor The Gods was seen as a primary cause of their ''anger''.
