According to Vietnamese Folk Religions (which were based in part on Chinese Mythology) - ''The Four Holy Beasts'', were ''Creationist Beings'', responsible for Mankind, The World and the very Heavens. They manifested Themselves on Earth as A Dragon, Chimera, Turtle and Phoenix. They were identified by The Vietnamese as ''Earth, Fire, Air and Water''. Later, by the 17th Century AD – The Phoenix became The ''White Tiger''.
