In yet another ''Tale'' which may have been more related to the selling of both a ''story line'' and later independent Horror Film - both Korea and Japan lay claim to ''The Elevator Game''. The idea of this Legend is based on participants (at Midnight, always) turning off all form of Mobile Devices. The Group then enters an ''ordinary elevator'' and step inside''. Without touching any floor activation buttons, the Group ''waits'' for a ''Phantom Rider'' to appear. This ''Rider'' is described as going from ''a horrible hag'' to a ''random and ordinary looking person''. Once The ''Rider'' appears in the cab, the elevator will begin to function and take The Group to ''another Dimension'' (which is either a good or bad thing....depending). The Story moves into either fantasy or outright horror (again depending on who is telling The Tale). As such, ''The Elevator Game'' had become (since 2008) a ''wacky Midnight Horror Game'' on par with the classic ''Blood Mary'' (to name one) or even '' The Red Man Game''.
