The Dewey Lake Monster

Although local Native American Tribes of Michigan have tales of great ‘’Beasts that walked upright’’, around The Sister Lake System, Dewey Lake to be precise – comes many reports of a 500-pound, 8-foot Creature, akin to the legendary Sasquatch. Living near Dewey Lake, the aptly named ‘’Dewey Lake Monster’’ was first reported in 1964 – with steady sighting since. Grainy and out of focus photographs are all that can be produced of it’s existence. This leads some to think it may have been a hoax to attract tourists 9and capitalize on The ‘’Bigfoot’’ phenomenon. Hunters have stated that The Beast gives off a pungent odor and ‘’howls’’ an ‘’inhuman cry’’. More grounded people state that The Dewey Lake Monster is probably a misidentified Bear or perhaps an escaped ‘’pet’’ Simian.
