While perhaps not as well known to The Public, The Del Rio Case at times could rival that of the famed Roswell, New Mexico ''crash'' of a supposed Alien Spacecraft in 1947. This Case happened in 1950 near The US Texas Town of Del Rio. On December 8, 1950, a ''flight'' of (40) Unidentified Objects were detected flying from The North. Whereas The ''Cold War'' was just ''starting'', many Military Authorities feared an in-coming Soviet Rocket attack. A Flight of Interceptor Fighters were alerted, as well as then (then) current Ballistic Missile Defense System of The Era. The Crafts appeared to be at a height of 32,000-feet and were traveling at ''incredible speeds''.

As the ''flight'' streaked over Del Rio, Texas (of which many Eyewitnesses stated that they appeared to be ''lines of lights'' moving ''very fast'', some stated that it appeared that one of the Craft fell out of ''Formation'' and crashed in the desert nearby. In other testimonies, People claimed that perhaps The Military even ''shot down'' The Craft. Of course, no record indicate either a ground based Missile of Alert Interceptor Flight fired any of their inventory. In 1977, a USAF Colonel appeared to tell ''His Story'' of that night. He stated that he was part of a ''Crash Recovery'' effort of debris from Del Rio in 1950. According to him, while no substantial pieces of wreckage were found, the desert floor was ''littered with much smaller pieces, similar to what was supposedly recovered in New Mexico (meaning that even this ''Colonel'' was aware of what was recovered in 1947).

The recovered debris was aluminum-like (thin) and had no imperfections or burn marks. The metal could be bent, but would instantly reform to it's original smooth shape (again much as what was found at Roswell). The Colonel was tasked to deliver ''samples'' to a Government Lab in Maryland. After this trip, The Colonel was ''told'' buy his Command that the ''trip did NOT happen, and that their was NO debris'' (again according to The Colonel's statement). Giving his ''story'' to a well known (controversial and often discredited US National ''Newspaper''), The Colonel was ''contacted one day via a telephone call. The unknown ''voice'' identified itself as being ''From The Government'' and that He (The Colonel) had ''best be quiet''. Truth or a Government ''disinformation tale''...................
