The Brown Mountain Lights

Brown Mountain is a string of geographical features located in The State of North Carolina (America). Since their ''Modern'' reports in 1913, strange ''Lights'' have been reported by thousands of people over the years. Paranormal in nature (Terrestrial), The Lights are seen as ''reddish, White Orbs'' that ''dance around The Mountain Tops), often making long ''tails of Light'' in their wake. Often, well ''active'' all electrical power in The Area will ''act up'' a signal that the Lights are ''active''. The USGC (United States Geological Survey Committee), has conducted many investigations as to the ''source'' of The Lights. Unclear in their ''explanations'' the most common is that The Lights are an unknown form of anomaly con in consistent with the atmosphere and ground in concert with one another. In other words they are unsure!. Local Legends though, tell tales of a Slave who escaped His Master and even using His Lamp, got lost in The Brown Mountains, only to perhaps, fall to His death in the dark. Some say His Spirits still wanders the Mountains, Lamp in ''hand'' trying to find His way to Freedom. Missing Hikers and Climbers are often given over to a Curse, perhaps related to The Ghost.
