''The Brainiac'' (1962)

A strange ‘’B’’-Movie from Mexico and 1962 – ‘’The Brainiac’’, while very simply done with even sillier ‘’Monster Make-Up’’, The Film is part Horror-Fantasy and low-grade Sci-Fi. In 1661, a Spanish Noble is burned at The Stake for His practice in Astronomy and The Occult. As He burns to death, a mysterious Comet soars overhead in the pre-dawn skies. He curses The Judges and states that ‘’when The Comet returns’’…..SO WILL HE. 300 years fly by and – as you guessed, so too does Our Celestial Visitors. THIS time, the Spirit of The Noble returns to wreck havoc on the descendants of His Torment. Able to turn into a strange ‘’hairy, big headed Beast-Thing’’, The Creature has a long forked tongue which when placed on the head of His victim – sucks out Their Brain. Silly but Fun none the less, ‘’The Braniac’’ still has a huge Cult Following, especially in Southern American climes.
