Western Slavic in origin, The Legend of The Black Goat Men was common to many Towns and Villages. Since Pagan Times, these Beings were associated with both Evil and Disease. They were said to have originated (given birth to), from ‘’Dark Gods who mated with Humans’’. They were said to be Part-Human and Part-Goat. Th Black Goat Men were covered in thick black fur with Goat Horns on Their Skulls. But The Black Goat Men preferred to sharpen these – to be used as weapons to ‘’impale Men’’. The Beings lived near ‘’impure water’’, and were said to live off the various ‘’sludge and animals’’ of such areas. In some variations, Thye Black Goat Men were fond of Human flesh, often capturing Humans and using them as food. Many attribute The Black Goat Men to The Devil or His Demons – especially when Christianity became the norm in many Northeastern European Countries. Never quite forgotten in Slavic Culture, even modern ‘’sightings’’ of strange ‘’Goat-like Humanoids’’ are still reported to this day.
