The Auid Object

Truly the "Crown Jewel" in the realm of "Out of Place" Artifacts, The Aiud Object was uncovered by construction workers in The Muses River near Aiud, Romania in 1974. The Object is very ancient....and equally unexplained. A wedge-shaped object, the fragment is composed of at least 12 different types of metals, with the bulk of it's composition being 89% aluminum. Near the find, was Mastodon (Ancient elephant) fossils. Scientific dating places the Object at around 250,000 years old. This means it was "manufactured" at least 2,000 years before "organized" Man appeared on The Earth. Even more compelling, Human knowledge of metalworking would not give rise to aluminum working for some 2,500 years before the metal's discovery in 1825. The discovery of The Aiud Object has given weight to the theory that it is was a "piece" of forgotten machinery left by Extraterrestrials. Theories further identified it even as even part of a "Landing Craft" assembly. Hotly debated, but not so easily debated, The Aiud Object is very much an "Out of Place" Artifact.
