An image common in Ancient Alchemy, the ''Squared Circle'' was the symbol used to identify the ''concept'' of The Philosopher's Stone. It was this ''formula'' by which an Alchemist was said to be able to ''make'' Gold from lead. While no conclusive formula has ever been found or replicated with success, the Squared Circle was used on an Alchemist Chart to denote such. Shown as a Circle, inserted inside is a triangle shape, into which is placed a square and into this – a circle.
