While the term ''Sol'' is relative to identifying The Sun, in was also the name given by Norse Mythology for the Goddess also identified as the ''source'' of ''all light'' in The Sky. Sol was seen as a rare feminine Deity in Norse Religious Beliefs. She is also known as Sunna. Although much older, Her name first appeared in writings dating to the 9th Century AD. Attributes of Sol would also be adopted into Ancient Roman Beliefs as well.
