Relating to Scottish and Irish Mythology, The Sluagh were seen as ''cursed Spirits'' that could not pass on to either Heaven or Hell. Some state that this punishment was revered for truly ''evil people''. Sluagh are said to congregate with their own kind and ''fly through the night in flocks''. They were also said to be most active on Halloween. Their goal is to steal Souls and turn them into fellow Sluagh as themselves. As a precaution, legend states that they can only enter a home through a Western Window. It was a matter of routine to close and lock all Western facing windows on Halloween night.
