A Swedish ''Myth'' coming from 1874, The ''Skvader'' was claimed to be a Cryptid creature which was part Hare and Bird. Consequently, The Skvader could ''hop at great speeds and fly''. The mythical creature was even produced (as a taxidermy specimen), when produced by Hunters in 1918. And while the source of the hoax was soon admitted too, many still claim that The Skvader WAS a real ''beast''. The animal is often likened to The North American Snipe (another mythic creature invented to tease new Hunters). The Skvader mythos is still embraced in some Regions of Sweden even today.
