Existing before Mallory's ''Le Morte'' (but briefly incorporated into His volume as well), ''Sir Agravain'' was Son to King Lot (and early Arthur ally). It was further said that Agravain was related to Arthur (a Nephew, perhaps) – in some Cycle Versions. A less known Round Table Knight, Agravain was one of The Knights who disliked Lancelot and tried to make King Arthur ''see'' His ''best friends'' betrayal''. As such, Lancelot slew Agarvain in single Combat for His ''outspoken'' opinions!
