A Japanese Sea Myth, The Shojo were non-Human Spirits who lived in the Sea. The myth dates to over 500 years ago. The Shojo only come out during storms. Sailor's saw them as good luck and fortune. Shojo are human in appearance, but ghostly white. They have bright red (and very long hair). They love to drink Sake and dance on the storm wave breaks. It was said that Sailor's would lure them on board with the drink and catch them in bottles to insure a safe voyage.
